Business Cards-finally!

So, I finally got around to designing business cards for TUS after 2 years. A few days ago i received the box of cards, all looked great except for the back logo has one of the 'O's filled in.... The printers have no idea how this happened, and are sending out a whole new fixed batch free of charge!. Anyway, here are the cards, filled in 'o' and all. I will post fixed version when they arrive.

TUS just received The After Lifes new shirts. The oxford comes in three colours- blue, white and pink. This is a great shirt for winter, it's a little bit thicker cotton than the previous shirts released, perfect to tackle the winter days ahead.

They have been a long time coming, but the Horse shoes are here!

I will take pictures of all of styles separately soon, but here is a group shot. I have all mens styles, so drop in and have a look. This time round the guys at The Horse have produced what looks to be a top quality shoe. When trying them on you appreciate just how soft the leather is.

Simply beautiful.

I've been meaning to change the logo for The Untitled Shop for some time now, it just wasn't doing it for me. So I designed a new one, and finally put trading hours up on the door which I'm beginning to regret because now customers know when I'm late....

I also changed the center table in store. It was originally a big, tall, half varnished Oak table, which didn't really fit in with the aesthetic of TUS. The new table is pictured below.

The After Life

So I've been working on my new label 'The After life' for a little while now. The plan is to make a label that focuses on clean, classic lines at an affordable price.

For the last couple of weeks I had been expecting the first run of shirts and just a few days ago I received the shipment. I was super nervous waiting for the delivery, and had my fingers crossed hoping the quality was up to scratch. After opening the boxes I was relieved that they were excellent! The finish is very neat and clean, and my new neck label looks awesome. TAL will hopefully drop new styles every couple of months - I'm intentionally not designing with the seasons, this way keeping the stock in the shop fresh.

Anyway I'm sure I will be talking more about the progress of TAL from now on, so come down to The Untitled Shop and check it out for yourself.

The Untitled Shop meets Broadsheet

This is a very simple, very understated menswear store on Brunswick Street, Fitzroy, with a name of equal understatement.

The cool thing here is that it’s actually a store split between two local labels, Who Am Eye and Malmo. The former are responsible for a Melbourne take on Euro underground style with darkly draped, loose-cut silhouettes; think long t-shirts and skinny as they come jeans. Great if you can pull it off. The latter – named in honour of designer Fredrik Jonsson’s (ex Hem and Haw) Swedish hometown of Malmo – predominantly works in a monochromatic palette and gives us well-priced suits, shirts and denim fit for any wardrobe.

There are bigger plans for the premises in the future but even now Jonsson’ Swedish aesthetic shines through in touches like polished concrete floors, white walls and carefully selected vintage furniture. It suits both labels and makes for an easy and very pleasant shopping experience. (Broadsheet)
